OUR PROCESS

5  STAGES OF COLLABORATION

Is your project looking to kick off, or is it already underway?
Our team of experts can jump in at any time along the product development process and work alongside your team.

1. DEFINE THE SPECIFICS

STAGE 1 :

DEFINE THE SPECIFICS

The first stage of our design process focuses on getting to know you and understanding your values and objectives.

We listen attentively and ask a lot of questions to get a thorough understanding of how to meet your needs to ensure project success.

  • What ideas and concepts inspire you?

  • What are the priorities of your end users?

  • How do you envision the end product?

  • Does it fit into your overall brand strategy?

  • What’s already on the market?

By defining your concept at the beginning, the better prepared we are to efficiently and effectively create a successful product.

2. Concept Design

STAGE 2 :

CONCEPT DESIGN

Also known as the "napkin sketch" stage, we identify innovative solutions to bring your project to life and help your organization stay ahead of the curve.

Our team of experts collaborates to discuss various directions, analyze a variety of innovative concepts, and relay our findings to you.

As part of our collaboration, our team tests, evaluates, and combines our ideas into a consolidated concept that our talented design team will carry through to production.

By bringing together a multidisciplinary team this early in the game, we firmly believe we can deliver the most dynamic products through a truly collaborative approach.

STAGE 3 :

DETAILED DESIGN

Now that we've nailed down a direction, our team of multidisciplinary experts is split into groups based on core competencies, to start detailing every aspect of your product.

  • Our industrial designers fine-tune how your end user will use and interact with your product.

  • Our mechanical team develops and refines the functional details utilizing analysis tools when and where necessary.

  • Our electronics hardware team designs and develops the schematics for your printed circuit boards.

  • Our software designers, working tightly with the hardware team, develop the system architecture.

By maintaining constant communication during this stage, our team is able to accelerate the process and stay ahead of potential issues.

4. Proto & Eval

STAGE 4 :

PROTOTYPE TESTING & EVALUATION

This is where your project starts to come to life. From trade-show-worthy presentation samples to complete, functional assemblies, we get your prototypes built - fast - through our established network of partners.

Prototyping also helps us to improve and refine your product.

  • We test the fit, form, and function of the design's physical aspects.

  • Printed circuit boards are put through a systematic bring-up process in which the assembly, hardware, firmware, and software elements are all successively tested, validated, and debugged.

Once we have completed this stage, we are able to incorporate all the improvements and modifications into the final design.

Once fully verified, we are able to run through appropriate approvals testing such as FCC/CE/MIL-STD,DO-160

STAGE 5 :

FINAL RELEASE & MANUFACTURING
HAND-OFF

Now is the time to present your product to the world.

With the support of our network, connections, and experience, we can help you to:

  • Build a one-off of your product for a trade show

  • Obtain a small run of parts manufactured in isolation

  • Get your product into a supply chain for mass production.

We also offer product packaging design. From ruggedized cases that hold up in the harshest of environments to elegant consumer packaging that delivers an exciting unboxing experience, our team can support your vision right through to the end.
